Not all classrooms have four walls. Here at Splitters Farm we encourage children and students to enjoy and learn from the surroundings of a real working farm. We aim to inspire and educate kids about where food comes from and introduce them to concepts like paddock rotation for the animals, the importance of pollination, organic farming, crops, healthy soil, composting and other ethical farming practices. Tours and topics can be customised to suit students age, capability and curriculum.

A typical half-day education experience includes a farm tour with our farmers, meet the livestock and a visit the orchard & market garden. There's discussion time and much more before we finish with a BBQ lunch. This tour is ideal for daycare children (as young as two years of age) right through to senior students. Let us customise the tour and learnings based on the age group and we'd even be happy to combine your schools curriculum teaching and lesson plans with our hands-on farm experience.

An overnight stay at Splitters Farm is an experience to be remembered. Learn how to start the fire, cook damper and star gaze until the wee hours. Memories will be made and friendships cemented as students partake in a number of the farms tours and activities. As a separate challenge we can split you into teams to make your own raft and see if you can make it across the creek.
