At Splitters Farm we believe that everyone in life deserves amazing holidays and all experiences that life has to offer, regardless of their age, abilities, or lifestyle. Splitters Farm provides accessible farm stay accommodation and real farm-life experiences. Some of the accessible options we provide are listed below.
(Please note we as a business are always looking for ways to improve and value any/all feedback, understanding that we are not perfect and believe there can always be room for improvement).
Please let us know if you have mobility issues so we can ensure the most appropriate facilities.
- We offer a mobile check-in option for checking in via tablet device, phones, and EFTPOS device.
(For those with mobility issues our process is very straight-forward, the office has windows all around, that makes visibility of guests easily accessible, as soon as a guest arrives, and a physical disability is seen we can take our check in tablet and EFTPOS machine out to them and serve them from outside. All disabled car parks can be seen from the office.
- Glamping Tent (ANGUS) is built with wider access inside of the tent and a large accessible bathroom with grab rails and a shower seat
- Food intolerances are catered to where possible
- Two disability car park spots are allocated in the parking lot behind the main office
- The Campground amenities block has an accessible toilet that is ambulant in sizing with grab rails present and a concrete pathway surrounds the perimeter
- The Grazing Station Camp Kitchen has 8 park bench style tables and seats allowing for wheelchair access at each table.
- Assistance dogs welcomed – An Assistance Dog is an accredited dog specially trained to assist a person with a disability and has met the state standards for public access rights.
- Roads – either bitumen or blue metal road base. Note some parts of the park are undulating but can be easily navigated by most wheelchairs.
- We believe in the benefits and healing aspects of animal therapy and the positive impact animals can have on the mentally impaired. We also understand that some loud noises from animals, vehicles and people can have adverse effects for those high on the spectrum or with social anxieties. Please let us know if you or a client are prone to experiencing any of these issues so we can design an environment that best suits your needs.
